HOW MUCH DOES LISTINGBOTT COST?
ListingBott publishes an escalating price rather than a fixed one: "$299 first 100 users $399 first 1k users $499 first 2k users $999 after beta". So the price depends on when you buy. It covers submission to 100+ directories in one click, from a handpicked set. Premium and paid third-party directories are explicitly outside it, "Premium directories or paid options on third-party directories are not included in the standard ListingBott plan".

WHAT DOES LISTRUN COST, AND WHAT IS FREE?
The directory list itself is free to read, including the counts, 123 directories, 112 of them free to list on, 49 needing no account, re-swept every morning. A run is $9 or $19 as a one-off payment. There is no subscription and no escalator.

HOW DO I KNOW A DIRECTORY SUBMISSION SERVICE ACTUALLY SUBMITTED ANYTHING?
By what it hands back per directory, which is the row most services do not publish. ListRun returns screenshots before and after each submission, the listing URL wherever the directory published one, and the drafted email or pull request for directories that have no form at all, so a row saying "submitted" can be checked. It also marks every failure with its reason: "A captcha, a login wall or a block is worth zero, that row is marked, with the reason, and left alone." ListingBott does not publish what per-directory proof it returns.

DO THESE SERVICES SUBMIT TO DIRECTORIES THAT CHARGE A LISTING FEE?
They differ, and it is worth knowing before you buy. ListRun never attempts them: "Directories that charge for the listing are never attempted at all." ListingBott excludes them from the standard plan, though it can feature relevant products in premium directories it owns. GetMoreBacklinks includes a "25 Paid Platform List" on its Advanced tier, which means part of what you are buying there is a list of places that will want more money.

HOW LONG DOES A DIRECTORY SUBMISSION RUN TAKE?
Two of the four publish a figure. StartupSubmit states "Delivered in 5-7 days", with "Express delivery: 3-7 Days" on its top tier. GetMoreBacklinks states "Submit Your AI Startup To 100+ Platform In 14 working days". ListRun is a single run rather than a queue. ListingBott does not state a turnaround on its own page, its pitch is "in one click", which describes your effort rather than the elapsed time.

ARE DIRECTORY BACKLINKS STILL WORTH ANYTHING IN 2026?
They are worth something specific and it is not PageRank. A directory listing is a citation an answer engine can find, and being present in the places a category is catalogued is how a new product gets named at all when nobody links to it yet. That is why the useful question about these services is not how many links they claim but how many listings actually went live, which is why the proof row in the table above matters more than the count row.

Tell you, individually, with a reason. That is the row where these four differ most. ListRun marks every directory that hit a captcha, a login wall or a block with the reason and does not retry it, and reports those rows alongside the successful ones. StartupSubmit does not say either way on its pricing page or in its FAQ. A paid listing can be worth it in a category where the directory genuinely sends traffic, but it is a second decision with its own budget, not part of the price you already paid.
