ARE DIRECTORY BACKLINKS STILL WORTH ANYTHING IN 2026?
They are worth something specific and it is not PageRank. A directory listing is a citation an answer engine can find, and being present in the places a category is catalogued is how a new product gets named at all when nobody links to it yet. That is why the useful question about these services is not how many links they claim but how many listings actually went live, which is why the proof row in the table above matters more than the count row.
