Present verbatim today: 'Pay With Stripe($499)', 'Include extra backlinks from my blogs with DR 30-77 ($999)', 'Pay With Stripe($99)' beside '20 relevant online directories and websites monthly', 'save a total of $441' in the FAQ, and the early-bird ladder as '$299 first 100 users $399 first 1k users $499 first 2k users $999 after beta'. ⛔ THIS FIGURE WAS CORRUPTED IN THE REPO AND THE CORRUPTION REACHED THE LIVE LANDING PAGE. Found and fixed 2026-09-04. Commit 09851bf (19 Aug, 'revert the 2026-08-18/19 commercial reset copy and layout') repriced our own plans with a blanket substitution, $49 to $15 and $99 to $29. Our prices are substrings of ListingBott's, so the replace ran straight over them: $499 became $159, $999 became $299, and $99/month became $29/month, in src/lib/plans.ts and engine/config.mjs. src/app/page.tsx then printed '$159' as the competitor price in the pricing section, and a code comment argued '$15 against a $159 competitor'. $159 appears nowhere on listingbott.com and never has. It stood on the live homepage from 19 August to 4 September. All four files are corrected to $499 / $999 / $99-a-month, src/app/page.tsx is added to appearsOn so this claim is connected to the page that prints it, and src/lib/plans.ts now carries a standing instruction never to reprice that file with a global replace. ⛔ THE COMPARISON TABLE WAS PUBLISHING THE LAUNCH DISCOUNT AS THE PRICE. src/data/competitors.json carried '$299, rising with signups' with probe '$299 first 100 users' for the price cell, so the three live comparison pages compared ListRun to the early-bird rung this register has said since 08-05 is not the standing floor. Corrected to '$499 once, or $99 a month' with probe 'Pay With Stripe($499)'. StartupSubmit's own table independently prints ListingBott at '100+ for $499'. TWO FURTHER CELLS WERE WRONG IN OUR FAVOUR AND ARE FIXED. 'turnaround' and 'proof' both read 'Not published'. The page does publish both: 'Publishing (1 month)' after a custom list prepared within 2 days of the onboarding form, and 'we provide a detailed report listing all sites, directories, and forums where your site was featured'. Our real difference is the per-directory row including the failures, and the 'failures' cell is still genuinely 'Not published', so the argument survives being honest about the other two. A PROBE DIED WITHOUT THE PRICE MOVING. '100+ directories in one click' is gone from the page. The count claim is still made, in new words: 'We handpick 100 most relevant directories for you', 'listed on 100+ directories by our human team', 'Over 12000 directories(+129 new directories this week)' and 'Show all directories (10353)'. Probe moved to the handpick sentence, which is the count claim itself rather than a slogan. POSITIONING CHANGE WORTH WATCHING: the page now says 'AI helps with the research, Humans submit the listings' while also still describing the flow as 'we launch our bot to publish your business daily for a month'. Both strings were on the page on 4 September. Recorded, not published: we do not need to characterise how they do the work to make our own argument. Prior note, retained: RE-READ 2026-08-26 FROM RAW HTML AND UNCHANGED, fourth consecutive agreeing reading. 2026-08-07 was the first date this figure became public; until then all seven appearances were code comments and the README. Two further quotations are load-bearing on /directory-submission-services: 'Publishing (1 month) - Once you approve the list, we launch our bot to publish your business daily for a month', and the DR guarantee 'If our initial effort does not bring your DR to at least 15, we will continue working on your listings'.

RE-READ 2026-08-26 (following the www redirect) AND HELD for a fourth consecutive reading, $379 / $579 / $779, struck-through comparison figures $385 / $567 / $750 still displayed LOWER than the prices beside them, 'At just $127 one-time' still in the body copy, and 'New orders are currently unavailable' still at the top with 'Currently unavailable' on every card. So none of these prices is transactable today either, and the page says so. ⛔ A PROBE THAT COULD NOT SEE A PRICE CHANGE, FOUND AND FIXED TODAY. src/data/competitors.json's price cell for this company carried probe 'Ideal for growing businesses', a tier subtitle. It would have stayed green through any price move on earth, which is precisely the check claim-engine.mjs warns about in its own header. Given this claim's history (a 3x move in three days, 08-02-08-05) it was the worst place in the estate for a decorative probe. Changed to '$ 379 / website', which is what the page renders once tags are stripped, the space is real and matters. READING NOTE FOR ANYONE RE-VERIFYING BY HAND: a plain substring test for '$379' FAILS on this page and does not mean the price moved. The figure renders as '$ 379' with markup between the glyph and the digits. Normalise before comparing. Everything else held too: the 'Spring Sale, 67% OFF on All Plans' banner, struck-through comparison figures ($385/$567/$750) LOWER than the prices displayed beside them, 'At just $127 one-time' still in the body copy, 'New orders are currently unavailable' at the top with 'Currently unavailable' on every card, so none of these prices is transactable today either. Tier contents confirmed verbatim: 100 submissions + 25 paid platform listings; 200 + 50; 200 + 75 + '5 Blogs hand-written for your website'; '14 Working Days Delivery' on all three. ARITHMETIC WORTH KEEPING: 67% off $385 is $127.05, exactly the stale figure in the body copy, so the likeliest reading is that the sale was applied to the prose and never to the cards. /directory-submission-services states that as the likeliest reading, not as fact, which is the only defensible way to publish it. sourceUrl corrected today: the apex 307-redirects to https://www.getmorebacklinks.org/, and a bare fetch of the apex returns 15 bytes, anyone re-verifying without following redirects will conclude the prices vanished. There's An AI For That charges for submission

⛔ THE SUBMIT PATH MOVED AND THE REPO STILL POINTED AT THE OLD ONE. Fixed 2026-09-04. https://theresanaiforthat.com/submit/ now resolves to https://theresanaiforthat.com/launch/, and data/directories.json carried /submit/ as this directory's submit_url. Corrected to /launch/. The old path does not 404, it redirects, which is why nothing surfaced it: a plain fetch of /submit/ returns 403 to a scripted client, so for three consecutive attempts (08-02, 08-26 and one earlier) the re-check was recorded as 'guarded' and the moved path was never seen. A 403 hid a redirect. RESOLVED AFTER FIVE WEEKS STALE. The register said 'Re-verify with a real browser, not a plain fetch' and no session had done it since 2026-08-01. Done today in the product's own daemon, which is signed in and is the same profile a run would use. The 2026-08-01 dry-run reading was correct and the two package prices are unchanged, $49 and $347. THE VALUE IS NARROWER THAN 'PAID-ONLY' AND THE CLAIM NOW SAYS SO. A monthly free-listing thread on X exists and picks one tool. That does not change what a run should do here: it is not a path any automated submission can take, so the directory stays cost 'paid' and a run still never pays on a customer's behalf. AND IT IS MACHINE-CHECKABLE AGAIN, WHICH IT HAS NOT BEEN SINCE 2026-08-01. The 403 belonged to /submit/, not to the host. A plain curl of /launch/ with a browser User-Agent returns 200 and 994,748 bytes carrying 'Pay & Launch Tool', 'one-time review fee' and '$347 one-time fee'. Status moves from observed-live to verified and the claim now carries the probe 'Pay & Launch Tool', so the nightly gate holds it instead of a session having to open a browser every few weeks. Fixing the stale URL is what restored the check: the claim was never unfetchable, it was pointed at a path that had moved.

How many directories the list actually holds

⛔ DELIBERATELY UNPROBED, AND THAT IS NOT AN OVERSIGHT. This value moves every night by design, so any probe naming the figure would fail the gate the first morning a directory dies, a check that cries wolf nightly is a check that gets muted, which is worse than no check. The published figure is covered where it can be covered honestly: src/data/competitors.json carries it as a cell with probe "124 directories on the list", and ops/qa/compare-gate.mjs --verify now runs at the end of engine/run-health.sh, the same job that changes the number. ⛔ DRIFTED AND WAS PUBLISHED, FOUND 2026-08-26. src/data/competitors.json hardcoded "117, of which 111 are free" with the probe "117 directories on the list", and that figure was printed on three LIVE pages, the /vs/listingbott meta description and FAQ, and the /directory-submission-services FAQ, while the homepage had already moved to 124/113. Corrected to 124/113 this run and confirmed by compare-gate --verify (24/24 cells). ROOT CAUSE, AND IT IS TWO THINGS, BOTH FIXED TODAY: 1. `appearsOn` did not list src/data/competitors.json, so nothing connected this claim to the three comparison pages carrying it. Added. 2. `ops/qa/compare-gate.mjs --verify`, the job whose entire purpose is to catch this, was scheduled NOWHERE. Only compound.listrun.health.plist and .worker.plist exist. This cell is derived from a count that moves every night by design, so a quarterly re-verify was never going to hold it. The verify now runs at the end of engine/run-health.sh, which is the very job that changes the number. Prior note, retained for the sweep history: the 2026-08-09 reading was 111 serveable (76 live + 35 guarded), the first completed sweep after a seven-day outage caused by a `local v` bug in _lr_env (engine/lib.sh) that corrupted SUPABASE_URL and killed both the health sweep and the submission worker for six days. /api/directories/stats was split that day so `retired` and `unreachable` are reported separately rather than summed, a 404ing submit path is a claim about a path, not about a business.

The comparison data and every derived comparison page were corrected in this run. FIRST READING, no stability history yet, so treat a single figure from this source with the same suspicion the GetMoreBacklinks entry earned. Operator: Web Sparked LLC, USA. ⚠️ THE SALE IS NOT A DEADLINE. On 2026-08-26 the cards displayed 50% OFF against struck-through prices and a resetting countdown, so the FAQ was used as the standing-price source. On 2026-09-09 the FAQ itself changed Authority from $299 to $199, establishing the new current figure. CORROBORATION WORTH KEEPING: StartupSubmit publishes its own comparison table naming ListingBott at "100+ for $499", which independently agrees with this register's listingbott-price entry that $499 is the standing one-off and $299 is an early-bird rung.
